I can not recommend Cathy enough.Counselling is a broad term. To succeed you must have someone like this to help navigate where to focus your efforts, so not to waste time, and to reach your goals more quickly. In a kind and professional way she has been honest about my strengths and professional weakness. Cathy definitely made me shine!Ĭathy also has provide me with great coaching as I’ve looked at other opportunities. While the job is not currently open (but this group wants to talk) the executive director and the manager I will report to both said I had an amazing resume. WOW, did Cathy know how to do this! I had a friend, now retired – 2nd in command of NASA, review her work and he said she is top shelf! Then I sent the resume to the potential job opportunity. Then a potential opportunity was presented to me but I had no resume (I tried creating few on my own and realized a great resume takes a professional in the field) I really didn’t know how to translate my ‘extra curricular’ work into a substantive resume. I would highly recommend Cathy and Inspire Careers to help you polish your image and get your career on track to where you need and want to go.Ĭathy has been an amazing professional find! I’m not aggressively job hunting but realized due to my activities outside of my profession I found these passions and volunteer work stacking up. Never did a call to Cathy go unanswered by Cathy herself! Should I call her today, she would answer and recognize me by name! Career transitions are arduous at best for many of us and the process is very different than it was many years ago when we were first placed in our careers – a compassionate coach who keeps pace with the current trends in your corner is not an option – it’s a necessity! Technology and social media progress at a blistering pace and while a wonderful thing, it can be daunting when seeking that edge that gets you noticed. It was also obvious that Cathy treated her clients like patients – a carryover from her experience as a nurse. It was evident through our conversations that I would have to do the work, but she would be there to compassionately guide me along the path, however long it may be. I interviewed several professional career transition coaches and found Cathy’s positive attitude and kind demeanor the tie-breaker. I signed on as a client of Cathy’s when it became evident I needed a professional coach to guide me through the current process of a professional career change.
